I received my training in audio technology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA earning a bachelors of music degree in sound recording. During my time there I studied audio recording and production with an emphasis on stereo micing technique. I worked as a part of a team recording the Duquesne’s symphony orchestra and running live sound for the events at the on campus venue. As a Duquesne music student I played violin in the orchestra and was trained in music theory.
After I graduated I moved home to DC and began to find work as an audio engineer running live sound at venues such as Atlas Theater, Temple Rodef Shalom and recording ensembles such as the New Orchestra of Washington, Beau Soir Ensemble, and DC Strings. From an organic need expressed from local friends and clients I decided to acquire the equipment necessary to conduct live sound and recordings on location.
